Description

Description

Visual Studio Test Professional is an integrated testing toolset for individuals and teams who test applications that operate on Microsoft Windows, in Microsoft Office, or on Microsoft's web and mobile-device platforms.

Visual Studio Test Professional requires an active Visual Studio Team Foundation Server instance to link to in order to run. A copy of Team Foundation Server and a Team Foundation Server user client access license (CAL) is included with the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) subscription that accompanies this product.

Visual Studio Test Professional includes the Microsoft Test Manager tool, which provides a graphic interface for manual testing that walks users through test steps while collecting important information to include in bugs that can be filed directly from the test interface.

Visual Studio Test Professional does not feature an integrated development environment for building applications.

•    Develop for Windows 10
•    Use default project templates that provide the files, resources, and structure for various kinds of Windows Store apps
•    Use various tools to debug, optimize, and publish apps

Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Subscription: This version of Visual Studio includes a two-year subscription to the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN). MSDN provides access to Microsoft operating systems and software, development kits, and the MSDN Library. Access is via the MSDN Subscriber Downloads site and through regular CD or DVD shipments. Technical support includes unlimited use of MSDN Managed Newsgroups with guaranteed response times of two business days; unlimited access to MSDN Online Concierge for nontechnical questions regarding use of the MSDN site; and two phone-based support incidents.

See a summary of Volume Licensing Product Terms for specific licensing details.

Acquiring MSDN: To activate the MSDN subscription, you must perform an additional step while retrieving your license keys from the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center website. To activate an MSDN subscription, click Subscriptions in the VLSC menu bar and follow the MSDN link to enter information about the subscribing user. When the process is complete, the user will receive an email with a subscriber ID and directions to the MSDN website.
